Your application journey to Malaysia just got easier with Edumize.

Now you have complete clarity on all the steps and details of the application process. Once you understand these steps, you're just one step away from starting your dream of studying in Malaysia.

Step One:

Choose the package that suits you 👆🏼 and request it using the “Request Package” button.

Step Two:

Prepare the required documents and send them to Edumize’s consultants for verification.

Required Documents:

- A scanned copy of your passport (all pages)

- A scanned copy of your high school certificate

- A personal photo

- The health declaration form

→ Click here for more details

Step Three:

Once your documents are verified, you’ll be asked to pay the initial fee from the package you selected so we can issue the institute's offer letter and immediately begin the visa (eVAL) process.

→ The initial fee is part of the total package fee you selected 👆🏼

Step Four:

We wait for the eVAL visa to be issued.

→ The visa processing time usually takes between 3 and 6 weeks.

During this time, we will provide you with a link from the Malaysian immigration website so you can track your application until it's completed.

Step Five:

After the eVAL is issued, you will need to apply for either an eVisa online or a Single Entry Visa (SEV) from the nearest Malaysian embassy.

→ The eVisa costs around $25 and is usually issued within 2–5 business days. We will assist you with these steps at that time.

→ ⚠ Some nationalities may be able to skip this step.

Step Six:

After the visa is issued and 2 weeks before your travel date, we will arrange your flight schedule and present you with accommodation options that match your budget.

You will then need to pay the remaining balance of the package + the accommodation booking fee for the option you select.

This allows us to receive you at the airport (if applicable), complete your housing setup, and provide travel guidelines to ensure you face no issues or delays upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Step Seven:

An Edumize representative will accompany you to complete the post-arrival procedures, including institute registration and the medical check-up required by the Malaysian Immigration Department.

  • How do I know how long I need to study?

We offer an online placement test upon registration to help determine your estimated study duration before applying for a visa. However, you will also need to take another placement test upon arrival to confirm your level.

  • How are the levels structured?

The Intensive General English program consists of the following levels:

  • Starter
  • Beginner 1 & 2
  • Elementary 1 & 2
  • Pre-Intermediate 1 & 2
  • Intermediate 1 & 2
  • Upper Intermediate 1 & 2
  • Advanced

  • How can I improve my English outside of class?

EMS provides extra practice sessions focused on speaking, reading, and writing, scheduled before or after regular classes. You can also:

  • Borrow storybooks from the library to expand your vocabulary.
  • Join games and social activities in the events hall to interact with international students in English.
  • Participate in outdoor trips, cultural events, and presentations that encourage communication and cultural exchange.

Enjoy a truly international environment, where you'll have daily opportunities to speak English with classmates from different nationalities.

  • How do I advance to the next level?

Each level includes two major exams:

  • Midterm Exam
  • Final Exam

These tests assess grammar, writing, listening, and reading skills. You need at least 70% to move up. If you score 98% or higher, you may qualify for a jump test to skip a level. If you don’t pass, you’ll repeat the current level to reinforce your learning.

  • How do I know which level to start with?

No need to choose your level in advance! We’ll determine your placement through a specialized test before you begin. This ensures you're placed at the right level and can progress smoothly from Starter to Upper Intermediate with confidence.

  • Can I reserve a place in advance?

Absolutely! Contact us today, and we’ll guide you through the process.

  • Who should take the IELTS?

IELTS is ideal for students with an Intermediate to Advanced level of English. It is recommended for those who:

  • Plan to study at an English-speaking university.
  • Want to migrate or work abroad in an English-speaking country.
  • Need an internationally recognized English qualification for career or academic opportunities.

  • Can I get a refund if I withdraw from the course?

Unfortunately, all payments are non-refundable once made.

  • Is there an age limit for admission? For instance, I am 30 years old. Will I be accepted?

Yes! EMS welcomes students of all ages, but for visa purposes, most Malaysian language centers accept students between 18 and 45 years old. Since you’re 30, you are eligible for admission.

  • Can I pay my fees in installments?

No, EMS requires full payment in advance upon arrival or as per the agreed terms with our consultants.
